Just a short drive away from Northampton, a county know as the "Rose of the Shires", Brampton Grange is a fabulous period property that is perfect for weddings. Combining the grandeur of a country house and the rustic charm of a delightful barn location, this stunning venue offers the best of both worlds for your special day.
The country house is exquisite; dating back to the 18th Century it exudes character and charm, but has also been lovingly restored by an Italian architect and is filled with modern touches.
With its sand-coloured natural stone, imposing arched porch framing the front door and attractive bay windows, not forgetting the sweeping driveway, the house is striking and instantly inviting. Breathtakingly pretty, it provides a fantastic backdrop for wedding photographs.
Internally the décor of the property reflects its rich heritage, incorporating warm colours, such as terracotta and berries, with elegant cream, beige and gold. There are numerous receptions rooms with open fires ensuring guests are always comfortable and cosy.
The grounds are glorious with extensive manicured lawns, a traditional courtyard, a romantic walled garden, a swimming pool and tennis courts.
Within the estate are three barns which are used for the civil ceremonies and wedding breakfast. The Verona Barn, with its exposed brickwork and timber beams, works well for intimate ceremonies while The Venice Barn is ideal for larger numbers. The third barn, The Florence Barn, is joined to The Venice Barn and this superb space is typically used for the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment. Spacious and sophisticated, it is contemporary in style and boasts a glass balcony overlooking the dance floor, allowing guests a dedicated chill out area; a place to sit and talk and enjoy some drinks.
Alternatively, for large, lavish affairs, a marquee can be erected on the grounds. Featuring off-white drapes, fairy lights and a wooden floor, the marquee can be tailored to suit any theme.
What makes Brampton Grange so great for weddings celebrations is the amazing provision of accommodation; eight luxury en suite bedrooms within the house and three converted cottages, offering accommodation for a total of 21 guests. With a sumptuous sitting room, separate TV room, conservatory and farmhouse kitchen available for use, guests can really relax at Brampton Grange.
The venue can accommodate up to 260 guests for a sit down meal and up to around 300 evening guests. With clever use of the three available barns, we can, and often do, accommodate smaller weddings, usually in our more intimate "Verona Barn", a popular choice due to the exposed brickwork and timber beams.
Unlike many wedding venues in Northampton, Brampton Grange is quite unique due to the fact that no seating needs to be removed to create a dancefloor, there is an area dedicated to dancing. There is also a glass balcony where guests not so fond of dancing can watch the party below.
