Elvira’s Coffee Shop is the culinary heart of The Henderson Hub. Run mainly by dedicated volunteers, the café serves ethically sourced organic coffee, teas and cold drinks, alongside freshly prepared paninis and sandwiches with your choice of filling. Homemade cakes are baked without artificial ingredients, and there are gluten free and vegan options to ensure everyone can indulge. The community art wall adds a splash of creativity to your meal, while the craft cupboard offers locally made gifts. Opening times are Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. During these hours you can also pre‑book an afternoon tea – a feast of scones with jam and cream, dainty sandwiches and sumptuous cakes for £16.50 per person. Elvira’s also caters for meetings, parties and events held in the hall, providing delicious and affordable menus tailored to your guests. With easy access, a children’s corner and dog‑friendly policies, it’s a welcoming spot for everyone.
